The summer Olympics were being televised and Robin began watching with enthusiasum. A young Olympion Champion by the name of Olga Korbut really caught her attention as Olga was doing routines that no one could believe. From that point on Robin was glued to watching every minuet of the gymnastic Bar, Floor, Rings and Beams routines. With a new enthusiasum, Robin began practicing the gymnastic routines she had seen watching the Olympics. While practicing she noticed that there were always class mates, especially girls watching her and trying to emulate what she was practicing. Many of them could not afford or have the means to get good quality gymnastic instruction so Robin began "coaching and teaching" them some of the routines she had learned on her own. As time went on, Robin knew she had found her lifes calling. She believed that as much as she loved gymnastics she would never become a champion like her idle Olga Korbut. But, Robin knew that she sure did have a tallent for teaching gymnastics to other children who some day may become Gold Medel Winners especially if some one like herself gave a young Olympion a quallity chance. And from that time forward, Coach Robin has given 1000's of young girls and boys the opportunity to become Champions in life. Her walls are filled with photos of these kids whom many years later recognize her when she out and about and thank her for her dedication to them and the sport. Today, Coach Robin keeps the Olympion Spirit alive at TUMBLE MASTERS GYMNASTICS and invite all children ages 3 to 15 to come join them for an experiance of a life time. |
